I studied Painting and Graphic Design at Loyola University, but was introduced to clay by Prof. Marva Jolly while earning my certificate in Secondary Art Education at Chicago State University. Professor Jolly guided my introduction and development in hand-building. Techniques in wheel throwing were developed at Parkwest Ceramics and Lill Street. Most of my work shows painterly brushwork, graceful lines, and attention to positive and negative space. My art is what it is. I do this because it centers my soul and keeps me happy.
